Participant Welfare
Safe and Respectful Sport
Everyone who takes part in our activities deserves to feel safe, valued and respected. These principles describe the environment we work to create.
Respectful Conduct
We expect players, coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters to treat each other with courtesy, both in person and online.
Appropriate Behavior
Adults involved with the association should act as positive role models, keep relationships with participants professional and avoid language or behavior that could cause harm.
Anti-Bullying Principles
Bullying, harassment and discrimination have no place in our sport. Concerns will be taken seriously and dealt with fairly.
Fair Participation
Opportunities should be offered fairly, with consideration for age, ability and individual circumstances.
Respect for Young Participants
Young people should be listened to, encouraged and supervised appropriately. Their wellbeing comes before results.
Responsible Communication
Communication with young participants should be open, appropriate and, where relevant, involve parents or guardians.
Participant Welfare
Physical and emotional wellbeing matter. Rest, hydration, safe practice and recovery are part of every responsible sporting program.
